Love and Capitalism (2014) // Documentary

Love and Capitalism is a short documentary shot on Super 16mm filmed in Spring of 2014. The film aims to capture a small sample of the dichotomy between the Gold Coast and Pilsen neighborhoods in Chicago. People from each give us brief ideas about what they love and how capitalism is or isn't working for them.

The film is inspired by Jean Rouch and Edgar Morin's 1961 film Chronique d'un été (Chronicle of a Summer) which captured a moment in time in Paris. Chronicle of a Summer clip: youtu.be/VpxVtFQgS4o
