The Union for Contemporary Art

This page will overview some projects I've worked on in my time as Communications Director at The Union for Contemporary Art. I am the principal videographer and photographer for all our marketing content, including most of what you see on our Instagram

Caden's Corner

This mini-doc showcases the work of one of our community partners PlaceMade. They collaborated with our Youth Engagement program Action Brigade  and Union Fellows Oria Simonini to paint a mural and install a public mini-ramp for the community to enjoy.

B.L.U.E. Joy - Dance Film

B.L.U.E. Joy is a collaboration between myself and 2023 Union Fellow Aaron Derell Gregory. He describes the film as "a story simply about Black Boy Joy in the medium of dance. B.L.U.E. stands for Boys Living Unapologetically Everyday. I want viewers to see joy in a way that inspires them to celebrate, champion, and create space for black boys & young black men to live freely in art."

Nathaniel Ruleaux - "To See If I Could Go Home: A True History Paste Up"

This short video showcases a project by The Union's March 2023 Artist-In-Studio Resident Nathaniel Ruleaux

"This project invited the public to engage with sobering facts about the history of Indian Boarding Schools in the United States while learning to wheat paste together. The Paste Up sought to heal through art, community engagement, and education, while tackling issues of immense weight."

Photos of All Things Union!

This slideshow offers a snapshot of photography work I've made during my time at The Union. These images range from event photos to portraits to art documentation, and more.

Annual Appeal Mailer

One of my favorite projects I worked on was our 2023 Annual Appeal Mailer. Every year we try to feature a large art print that can be put up as a poster. For 2023 I decided to homage the I Spy books I was fond of in my youth. I hid items related to The Union throughout the scene for people to find.

Print Newsletter & Moondance Mailer

The bi-monthly print newsletter is a staple of The Union. This keeps our audience up to date with exhibitions, workshops, and special announcements. It is a collaboration between all programs to make sure we're sharing the latest happenings at The Union.

2024 saw the return of our fundraiser gala Moondance. I wanted to design something that would catch people's attention in the stack of mail they may be going through.

Selected Social Content

Below are examples of some reels I've made during my time at The Union. They include a promo for our Populus Fund Program, Co-Op Artists Spotlights, and educational content about art processes.
